NSCDC Welcomes 50 New Officers in Taraba on Civil Defence Day

The Taraba State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) welcomed 50 new officers into its ranks in commemoration of the 2024 World Civil Defence Day.

The induction ceremony took place at the state command headquarters on Saturday, with Commandant Adamu Salihu urging the officers to address the ongoing security challenges.

Commandant Salihu emphasized the importance of discipline and dedication in effectively dealing with the security issues facing the state. He specifically highlighted concerns such as kidnapping, armed robbery, and communal clashes, urging the officers to actively contribute to their resolution.

The Secretary to the State Government, Barrister Gebon Kataps, representing Governor Dr. Agbu Kefas, reiterated the government’s unwavering support for the NSCDC’s initiatives. Governor Kefas expressed his appreciation for the NSCDC’s commitment to peacekeeping efforts and assured continued support in the fight against crime.

The induction ceremony serves as a testament to the state’s commitment to enhancing security and fostering collaboration with law enforcement agencies to protect communities.
