Tragedy struck on Monday as five individuals lost their lives in a solitary auto crash that occurred at Tashar Durumi village along the Bauchi-Jos road. Mr Yusuf Abdullahi, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Bauchi state, shared this heartbreaking news in a Road Traffic Crash report provided to the press in Bauchi.

Abdullahi revealed that the accident involved an OPEL Astra car with the registration number JJN-358 PU, and transpired at approximately 7:05 am, with speed violation being cited as the cause. Unfortunately, five individuals lost their lives in the crash, while one person sustained serious injuries.

“Six persons were involved in the fatal road crash and there were two male adults and four female adults.

“Five of them lost their lives on the spot and they were four female adults and one male adult,” he said.

Abdullahi also mentioned that the personnel of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) who were present at the accident site handed over the deceased bodies to the Police in Tashar Durumi, while the injured individual was taken to the General Hospital in Toro for medical treatment. As a parting advice, the sector commander urged motorists to consistently adhere to traffic rules and regulations while driving on the roads. (NAN)
