NSCDC Deploys 2,000 Personnel to Enhance Security During Eid-el-Fitr in Kano State

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Kano State has deployed 2,000 personnel to ensure security during the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations in the state. This was disclosed by the NSCDC Commandant in the state, Mr Adamu Salihu, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Thursday in Kano.

Salihu stated that operational orders had already been issued to area commanders and divisional officers in all 44 local government areas of the state to ensure security in their respective areas. The measures are aimed at facilitating a smooth and peaceful celebration in Kano State.

The NSCDC personnel will work in collaboration with other security agencies to provide maximum security at Eid prayer grounds, recreational centers, and public places during and after the festive period. Salihu also urged the public to share any useful security information with law enforcement agencies to collectively prevent any troublemakers from causing disruptions during and after the celebration.

Furthermore, Salihu mentioned that a special squad has been set up to respond to emergency cases during the celebration, and warned that anyone found attempting to cause problems will be prosecuted.

The deployment of 2,000 NSCDC personnel in Kano State is part of efforts to ensure the safety and security of the public during the Eid-el-Fitr festivities in the state.
