Kaduna State Government Closes Al-Azhar Academy Following Student’s Death

As a result of the unfortunate demise of a student, the Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority has taken the decision to close down Al-Azhar Academy in Zaria.

The student, Marwan Nuhu Sambo, had suffered severe punishment due to absenteeism, which ultimately led to his passing.

The principal and a staff member of the school have been arrested by the police in connection with the incident. The closure of Al-Azhar Academy has been ordered by the Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority until the investigation into the student’s death is concluded.

The statement released by the Kaduna State Government, under the leadership of Governor Uba Sani, assures the public of its unwavering commitment to providing a conducive learning environment, as well as upholding principles of fairness and justice.

During this period, the government urges the general public to remain calm and law-abiding, allowing the investigation to proceed in order to ensure that justice is appropriately served.
