FCT Minister Warns Against Sabotage, Vows to Take Action

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has issued a stern warning against any form of bureaucratic sabotage within the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA), emphasizing that he will not tolerate such actions.

During the launch of the construction of the 7.2-kilometer Gaba-Tokula road in Bwari Area Council, Wike urged the directors in the FCTA to expedite the process of contractor payments to prevent unnecessary delays in project execution.

Wike emphasized the importance of avoiding bureaucratic obstacles in their work, stating, “This is not the time to introduce bureaucracy into our operations. When a file is presented to you for contractor payment, it should not sit in your office for two weeks.”

He warned that anyone who obstructs the smooth progress of projects will be considered an enemy to the people and will face consequences. Wike stressed the need for prompt action and processing of contractor payments to ensure that the communities do not suffer from delays.

“I will not tolerate such behaviour. Anyone who sabotages our efforts will face the same fate. Keep this in mind,” Wike asserted.
