Aisha Yesufu Responds to Presidency: Tinubu as Nigeria’s Ambassador

Aisha Yesufu, a prominent socio-political activist known for her involvement in the BringBackOurGirls movement, has strongly criticized President Muhammadu Buhari, labeling him as the worst ambassador the country currently has.

Aisha’s response was triggered by a statement made by Ajuri Ngelale, a presidential aide, during an appearance on Channels Television. Ngelale had remarked that every Nigerian should act as an ambassador for the country, emphasizing that the task of fixing Nigeria is not a partisan issue.

Expressing her anger over the comment, Aisha singled out Bola Ahmed Tinubu, a prominent political figure, as the worst ambassador Nigeria has today. She claimed that because of Tinubu, Nigerian citizens face scrutiny regarding their educational qualifications and experience. She further asserted that travelers might be subjected to additional security checks at airports, and their words and integrity may be questioned.

Aisha’s response highlights her discontent with the presidency’s stance and her belief that Tinubu’s influence has had negative repercussions on the reputation of Nigerian citizens.
