Aisha Yesufu, a prominent socio-political activist and member of the Labour Party (LP), has expressed her disappointment with the Edo State Government’s alleged failure to address the security crisis plaguing the state.

Taking to her verified social media handle on Thursday, Aisha voiced her concerns following the tragic killing of a female farmer in the region. She highlighted the fear and apprehension among women in Etsako West, who have become reluctant to engage in farming activities due to the constant threat of rape or violence from ruthless attackers.

Aisha accused the state government of being preoccupied with policies that are difficult to comprehend without the expertise of specialists, diverting attention away from the pressing security issues faced by the farming community.

In her post, she emphasized the alarming rate of abductions taking place on farms and the risks faced by men who still venture into agricultural activities.
