Two Female University Students Abducted by Bandits

Two female students from Al Qalam University, Katsina, have been kidnapped by bandits, according to a statement released by the institution’s head of public affairs, Akilu A. Atiku.

The parents of the students have confirmed the abduction, which occurred on Monday.

As the incident took place outside the university premises, details surrounding the circumstances of the abduction remain limited. The university expressed solidarity with the affected students’ families and assured them of support during this challenging time. The vice chancellor, Professor Nasiru Musa Yauri, offered prayers for the safe release of the abducted students.

The students were traveling from Niger State to Katsina State to resume their academic activities at the university when they were abducted. The abduction occurred while they were passengers in a commercial vehicle. Further information regarding the incident is yet to be disclosed.
