Suspected Fraudsters Arrested By EFCC, Seized 1,144 ATM Cards At Nigerian Airport

Abdullahi Usman, Musa Abubakar and Abdulwahid Auwalu have been apprehended by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Kano state.

Leadership reports that the three suspects were blocked and arrested at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA) while trying to smuggle 1,144 Automated Teller Machine (ATM) cards out of the country.

Wilson Uwujaren, the spokesperson for the anti-graft agency said the suspects the three were arrested between November 24 and December 1.

P.M News also confirming the incident noted that Abubakar who was on his way to Dubai, UAE, had concealed 714 ATM cards.

Usman was heading to Saudi Arabia with 298 ATM cards in his possession while Auwalu on the other hand, was arrested with 132 ATM cards while trying to board a flight to Istanbul, Turkey.
