Governor Akeredolu Responds: Ondo Commissioners Are Not Falsifying My Signature

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has addressed the claims made by Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Kayode Ajulo, alleging that some commissioners and state officials were forging his signature on official documents.

In response to Ajulo’s remarks, Governor Akeredolu, through his Chief Press Secretary, Richard Olatunde, dismissed the allegations as “utterly preposterous and ludicrous.” He challenged Ajulo to provide concrete evidence to substantiate his claims.

Olatunde stated that the allegations were based on “fabricated signatures” circulating on social media and called for the alleged forged documents to be presented or the individual behind the claims to be identified.

The governor’s spokesperson expressed the willingness of the administration to thoroughly investigate the matter and prosecute anyone found guilty of forgery. However, he emphasized the importance of avoiding baseless speculations and unfounded claims.

Olatunde further asserted that the individuals responsible for creating and circulating the fabricated signatures were the actual culprits engaging in criminal activities. He maintained that only Governor Akeredolu himself could make a claim regarding the forgery of his signature.
