During a courtesy visit by Anambra APC stakeholders at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, revealed that President Bola Tinubu has given his approval to a blueprint aimed at achieving political liberation and empowerment for the South-East region within the ruling party.
Ganduje emphasized the importance of the region speaking with a unified voice in negotiations for the country’s political leadership. He expressed Tinubu’s approval of the blueprint, highlighting the need for the political emancipation and de-marginalization of the South-East.
The APC chairman stressed the significance of unity in diversity, urging the stakeholders to come together and work towards a change and revolution for the South-East, particularly within the party in Anambra State.
In response, the State Chairman of Anambra APC, Hon Basil Ejidike, conveyed the party’s readiness for the 2025 gubernatorial election in the state. He emphasized the importance of Anambra State as a socio-political and economic hub in the South-East, underscoring the party’s determination to seize the opportunity to take over the government house in Awka.
Ejidike informed the National Working Committee (NWC) that during a stakeholders meeting, they engaged with Senator Ifeanyi Ubah of the Youth Democratic Party (YPP), Senator Uche Ekwunife, and Hon John Nwokeji. Additionally, a Strategic Membership Drive Committee was established to reach out to influential individuals and mobilize grassroots support to enhance the party’s prospects.
