Fani-Kayode Alleges Desire for Military Takeover and Interim Government: PEPT

Former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has shared his perspective on the allegations surrounding the judgment of the Presidential Election Petition Court, which was delivered last Wednesday.

There have been claims that the legal team of Tinubu/Shettima had a hand in crafting this judgment, and it was even suggested that the President’s legal team received an advance copy of the judgment.

Fani-Kayode has strongly dismissed these allegations as “simply absurd.” He views them as a severe and malicious assault on the integrity of the country’s judiciary, describing them as insidious, savage, blatant, and vicious.

Furthermore, Fani-Kayode pointed out that Babatunde Ogala, SAN, the coordinator of Tinubu’s legal team, has already clarified the reason behind the inscription and wording referencing the President’s lawyers on a copy of the judgment. He believes that those raising questions and scrutinizing the judgment are doing so with the aim of inciting anger, disorder, violent protests, anarchy, and chaos within the nation.

He said that such people were doing this “in an attempt to engender an Arab spring/EndSARS type of operation in our country, annul the election and justify a military takeover and the formation of an Interim National Government.”

Simply put, that is their plan and agenda but they will surely fail,” the former minister wrote on Vistanaij Media.
