The lifeless bodies of Kehinde Egbeyi, a 37-year-old farmer, and his wife, Bukola, were discovered in their residence located at Oke Erinja, Ilaro-Owode Road, in the Yewa South Local Government Area of Ogun State.

The couple, who lived with a relative, Joel, reportedly watched a movie with friends before retiring to their individual rooms. The next morning, when their colleagues were preparing to go to the farm, Joel called out to the couple to no avail. After breaking down the door, they found Kehinde and Bukola dead in their bed.

The family declined to have the corpses evacuated to the mortuary for an autopsy, citing the will of God, and buried them instead. Though the cause of death remains unclear, police have ruled out foul play, and the case has been closed.
