Musa Mohammed, a local resident of Gidan Damo village, shared a chilling account of the recent attack that occurred on Wednesday night.

Gunmen struck the community, causing havoc, where they kidnapped four women and four children, and tragically claimed the lives of four individuals.

Additionally, numerous villagers sustained injuries during the ordeal.

Speaking to Vistanaij Media via a phone interview, Mohammed recounted how the entire community scrambled to find safety, unaware of what fate awaited each person. In the aftermath, the unsettling truth came to light: seven people had been shot during the attack, leading to the immediate death of four among them.

“The villagers were running without any direction to the bush for the safety of their lives and so nobody cared to wait and monitor what happened”, he added.

According to Mohammed, the bandits were systematically moving from one house to another, selecting their victims. Subsequently, it was revealed that four women and their four children had been taken away and led into the forest. 

“We just finished Magrib prayers after seven o’clock on Wednesday night when we heard several gunshots as the terrorists invaded the community.”

Despite numerous attempts, contacting the State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, ASP Yazeed Abdulahi, proved futile as he was not answering his phone calls.
