The Zamfara State Government has clarified that there is no ban on bread production within the state. Governor Dauda Lawal explained that the government’s focus is specifically on disrupting the supply chain to bandits operating across the state.

This clarification comes in response to a recent directive from the Bakers’ Association in Zamfara State, instructing a halt in bread production due to the government’s ban on motorcycles delivering bread.

In a statement issued by the spokesperson for the Zamfara Governor, Sulaiman Bala Idris, it was clarified that the ban on bread and fuel supply to volatile areas aims to disrupt the activities of bandits who have been terrorizing the state.
