Two employees of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) have been fired for engaging in document forgery.

According to a statement by the Head of Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, on March 1, 2023.

The dismissed staff, Bilyaminu Ishaku and Andrew Anebi Candidus, were based in the Makurdi, Benue State office. The statement revealed that the dismissal was effective from February 27, 2023. The decision was based on the recommendation of the Senior Staff Disciplinary Committee and in accordance with the Public Service Rule 030401, which defines serious misconduct as a specific act of serious wrongdoing and improper behavior that could lead to dismissal if proven.

The staff have been instructed to return their JAMB identity cards and any other property belonging to the board to the State Coordinator, JAMB Office, Benue State, for forwarding to the Director of Human Resources immediately.
