The Super Eagles are still waiting for the results of goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali’s scan after he got injured during Nigeria’s Round of 16 match against Cameroon at the AFCON tournament.

Nwabali was taken off the field after a collision with Cameroon’s Georges-Kevin N’Koudou. He received initial treatment but was later substituted in the 80th minute.

According to Babafemi Raji, the team’s media officer, Nwabali sustained a knee injury, but it’s not clear how severe it is until the scan results come back.

The team is mentally prepared for their quarter-final clash with Angola, with players giving their all in training to secure victory.

Coach Jose Peseiro mentioned the importance of more training and practice before the game and expressed confidence in the team’s ability to perform well.

Meanwhile, Nwabali, Victor Osimhen, and William Troost-Ekong didn’t participate in training, but it’s a routine procedure to protect players after matches.

Osimhen also underwent an anti-doping test, which is a standard procedure by CAF, and all players came out clean after the tests.

The Super Eagles face Angola in a highly anticipated match on Friday, and the team is gearing up for the challenge.
