Shehu Sani to Davido: Remove Offensive Video, Offer Apology to Muslims, and Move On

Senator Shehu Sani, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has provided advice to Davido, urging him to remove his recent contentious video tweet.

The singer faced criticism on Saturday after sharing a controversial video of his signee, Logos Olori’s new single titled ‘Jaye Lo,’ on his official Twitter handle.

Numerous members of the Muslim community issued an ultimatum, demanding that Davido delete the tweet within 24 hours. However, the singer appears to have disregarded the backlash, as the video featuring sensitive Islamic content remains on his page.

In response to the situation, Senator Sani, a former lawmaker, took to his own Twitter handle on Sunday to offer guidance to the singer. He expressed that since the tweet has generated controversy and has offended his fans, Davido should have taken down the content in question.

He wrote: “As an artist or entertainer, if your fans feel offended by a piece or portion of your work, especially as it concerns their culture, faith, or religious beliefs, it will be most honourable for you to delete or edit that portion, apologise to them, and move on. I’m here talking about Davido. This is my own opinion.”
