Peter Obi Declines Atiku’s Invitation Amid Tinubu Certificate Controversy

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has refused the invitation from Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), to join him in the ongoing battle against President Bola Tinubu.

Atiku had called on Obi and Kwankwaso of the New Nigerian People’s Party (NNPP) to unite with him in seeking justice.

The invitation comes amidst the controversy surrounding President Tinubu’s certificate, which Atiku claims is forged. Atiku intends to present academic records from the Chicago State University (CSU) as part of his litigation against President Tinubu in the Supreme Court.

In response, Obi, through a statement issued by the National Publicity Secretary of the Labour Party, Obiora Ifoh, stated that he is currently focused on reclaiming his stolen mandate at the Supreme Court. The statement emphasized Obi’s commitment to fighting for a just nation and the need for leaders to be role models of integrity and honor.

The statement further expressed the party’s openness to other interests willing to join them in their pursuit of a nation where justice prevails.
