PDP Celebrates as Tribunal Removes Governor Sule, Alleging Election Fraud by INEC

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of cheating them during the 2023 general elections.

The party made this claim in response to the verdict of the Nasarawa State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal, which removed the incumbent governor.

Earlier, the tribunal had nullified Governor Abdullahi Sule’s victory in the March 18 polls. The three-member panel, led by Justice Ezekiel Ajayi, delivered the judgment via zoom and declared Emmanuel Ombudagu of the PDP as the winner of the election.

In a post on its official handle, the PDP alleged that their mandates were stolen at both the federal and state levels during the general elections. The party congratulated Ombudagu, stating that his victory represented the will of the people of Nasarawa State.

The post emphasized that the PDP would continue to fight for the recovery of its allegedly stolen mandates at the national level and in all states across the country. The party extended congratulations to Ombudagu and the entire PDP family nationwide.
