The Governor-elect of Abia State, Dr Alex Otti, has established a 75-member inauguration committee tasked with organizing his inauguration ceremony on May 29th. The committee, which was formally inaugurated on Friday at Otti’s country home in Nvosi, Isialangwa South Local Government Area, is headed by Chief Obioma Acho, the Director-General of Alex Otti Campaign Council, who serves as the Coordinator.

The committee is further divided into eight sub-committees, namely Finance, Programme, Venue, Logistics, Protocol, Security, Entertainment, and Media/Publicity. The inauguration ceremony will take place at the Umuahia Township Stadium, followed by a reception at the International Conference Centre (ICC), Ogurube Layout, Umuahia. Jumaat and Interdenominational Church services at ICC on later dates will conclude the event.

Dr Alex Otti urged the committee members to carry out their responsibilities with utmost diligence, ensuring that the events are organized smoothly, peacefully, and in a befitting manner. It is worth noting that Otti had previously inaugurated a 100-member Transition Council on April 14th, tasked with developing a roadmap for his administration’s development agenda for Abia State.
