On Thursday, an 18-year-old boy was arraigned in a Karu Upper Area Court in Abuja, accused of smashing a car windscreen with a stone. The defendant, who resides in AYA, Asokoro, Abuja, is facing a charge of mischief.

According to the prosecution counsel, Mr Olarewaju Osho, the complaint was made by Mr Iyankase Peter, who resides in Mararaba, Nasarawa State, and reported the incident to the Asokoro Police Station on March 7th. The police stated that the defendant had thrown a stone at the complainant’s Toyota Coaster Bus in the AYA area of Abuja.

Osho pointed out that the defendant’s action contravened the provisions of Section 32 of the Penal Code. During the hearing, Judge Malam Ishaq Hassan granted the defendant bail in the sum of N100,000, along with one surety in like sum. The case was adjourned until May 15th for further proceedings. (NAN)
