Yomi Fabiyi, a renowned Nollywood actor and filmmaker, has stirred up controversy online by stating that his beloved son, Akorede, was a result of an unplanned pregnancy caused by the substandard condoms available in Nigeria, which aim to address the growing population.

In an attempt to express his concerns about the rising cost of living in the country, the actor urged the Nigerian government to improve the quality of condom production as an essential family planning method.

Yomi Fabiyi expressed his frustration over how the use of poor-quality condoms has led to unintended pregnancies and increased financial strain on Nigerians. He criticised the authorities for allowing the importation of inferior condoms, which he believes is contributing to Nigeria’s misfortunes.

The father of one openly shared that his son, Akorede, was conceived due to a failed family planning method, emphasising that this responsibility should fall on the government’s shoulders.
