Mutfwang Applauds Tinubu’s Impartiality in Supreme Court Judgement

After the affirmation of Caleb Mutfwang‘s election as Governor of Plateau State, he expressed his appreciation for President Bola Tinubu’s neutrality and the bravery demonstrated by the Justices of the Supreme Court.

Mutfwang believes that their actions have made a lasting impact on the people of Plateau State, who are now celebrating his victory at the Supreme Court.

Recognizing that power comes from God, Mutfwang called for unity among the people and urged them to provide him with maximum support to deliver good governance. Upon his return from Abuba, he was warmly received by a large crowd at the Yakubu Gowon Airport. As he made his way through the lined-up citizens along the highways, he received a grand reception at the Langfield Resort in Jos.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Mutfwang stated, “We owe our victory to God, the people of Plateau, President of Nigeria, and the Supreme Court for doing what is right. This gathering represents the people of Plateau beyond party lines. We have always believed in the judiciary as an institution, and our faith in justice has been restored.”

He further emphasized his commitment to the interests of Plateau and delivering good governance to the people, saying, “The support and actions of the people of Plateau and Nigerians have inspired me. I will continue to work for the betterment of Plateau and provide good governance to our citizens.”

Former Governor Jonah Jang also called for unity among the citizens and expressed gratitude to God for the victory. He mentioned that the opposition party, APC, lacked structure in Plateau State and commended Mutfwang’s leadership qualities. Jang highlighted that the prayers of Plateau people, Nigerians, and individuals worldwide were answered by God, influencing the hearts of the Justices of the Supreme Court to reveal the truth.

The Speaker of the State Assembly, Gabriel Dewan, assured the governor of the legislature’s support and called for unity among the people. Chris Hassan, the Chairman of the PDP in the state, acknowledged the challenging journey but expressed confidence in the decision to vote for Governor Mutfwang. He assured the governor of the well-structured PDP’s support in delivering good governance to the people.
