A 22-year-old primary school teacher, Margret Obano, has been arrested by the Lagos state police command for allegedly brutalizing her two-year-old daughter and burning her buttocks.

This came after neighbours raised an alarm over the incident which happened on Friday, October 14, 2022, in Bariga area of the state.

Giving an update on the incident, Lagos police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest of the woman and her partner.

He said; 

“They have been arrested and detained at the Bariga Police Station and her daughter has been hospitalised.”
