Kemi Olunloyo taunts Peter Obi over on-air tears and provides him with valuable business guidance

On March 1st, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of last Saturday’s polls. However, the result did not sit well with the Labour Party Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, who confirmed he will be taking legal action after losing the 2023 presidential election. During the announcement, Peter Obi burst into tears, getting Nigerians emotional.

Investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, made a mockery of Peter Obi’s emotional display on national television. She shared a meme of the former governor crying because INEC took his ‘candy’ and questioned why he would cry on national television when Nigeria isn’t anyone’s candy.

Olunloyo advised Peter Obi to start a Point of Sale (POS) business since the Supreme Court has authorized the release of old Naira. She suggested that Nigeria is nobody’s candy, and he should try his luck with the POS business. The journalist’s comments were met with mixed reactions from Nigerians who called for more empathy towards political candidates.
