Gov Yusuf and Hisbah Commander General Daurawa Reconcile in a Bid for Unity

Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and State Hisbah Commander General Aminu Ibrahim Daurawa have reached a reconciliation, putting an end to their recent dispute.

According to reports, Daurawa will resume his duties as Hisbah Commander General today, Tuesday. Last week, he had announced his resignation following public criticism of the Hisbah’s operations by Governor Yusuf.

The reconciliation process was facilitated by influential Ullamas in the state who insisted on Daurawa’s return and continuation of his role. A well-attended meeting involving the State Council of Ulamas, top Hisbah officials, and some elders played a significant role in resolving the issues and reaching an agreement.

A source from the Government House confirmed the reconciliation, stating, “The Governor and the Commander General have reconciled. The parties have understood each other, and all issues have been resolved amicably.”

The reconciliation marks a positive step towards unity and cooperation between the governor and the Hisbah Commander General, ensuring the smooth functioning of the Hisbah and the overall governance of Kano State.
