Ayodele Fayose, the former governor of Ekiti State, has shared his sense of satisfaction regarding the military coup that unfolded in Gabon.

Fayose conveyed his belief that this military intervention could potentially pave the way for the establishment of a democratic system in Gabon.

The coup transpired on a Wednesday, resulting in the forceful removal of President Ali Bongo from power, who had recently secured a contentious third term through re-election.

While Fayose acknowledged his contentment with the outcome in Gabon, he also made it clear that he generally disapproves of military involvement in political matters. This sentiment reflects his stance on the delicate balance between military intervention and democratic governance.

Featuring by Vistanaij Media on Friday, Fayose said: “I am very happy with what happened in Gabon. I don’t like military incursions in politics but I want to say to you that Nigeria is different; we have a reasonably stabilised democracy.

“We have our flaws, but you can see the uninterrupted democratic process. After four years there will be an election. Nigeria has gone from.
