Ayodele Fayose, the former Governor of Ekiti State, has responded to the recent accomplishment of President Bola Tinubu.

The presidency made an announcement on Monday regarding Tinubu’s successful negotiations with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, in Abu Dhabi. This negotiation led to a significant agreement, resulting in the immediate lifting of the visa ban that had been imposed on Nigerian travellers.

Fayose expressed his appreciation for this development, describing it as heart-warming.

“Resolution of the diplomatic row between Nigeria and the UAE is no doubt heart-warming,” he wrote.   

Fayose observed that the diplomatic dispute that led to the visa ban on Nigerians and the suspension of flights to Nigeria by Emirates since October 2022 has undoubtedly left a bitter taste in the mouths of numerous Nigerians whose livelihoods are connected to the UAE.

“Therefore, resolving such a diplomatic deadlock in just one visit to the UAE shows that President Tinubu has come to renew the hopes of Nigerians,” he said.
