Election Incident in Anyigba, Kogi: Alleged Ballot Snatcher Fatally Shot

In an unfortunate incident at the Agala-Ogane polling unit in Anyigba metropolis, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State, a young man named Umoru Iduh was reportedly shot and killed.

The incident occurred during the ongoing governorship poll when Iduh was accused of snatching electoral materials.

Eyewitnesses revealed that the shooting took place around 10:00 am, just as voting was about to commence at the said polling unit. According to accounts, Iduh forcefully grabbed the BVAS machine and destroyed it on the ground in an attempt to disrupt the voting process.

Abdullahi Danjuma, an eyewitness who claimed to be present at the polling unit to cast his vote, stated that a person suspected to be a vigilante swiftly emerged from the crowd and fired at Iduh, resulting in his immediate death.
