Shortly after Hilda Baci was officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the individual with the longest cooking time, a Kenyan chef has now surpassed her accomplishment.

Chef Maliha Mohammed embarked on her cooking marathon on August 11 and unofficially set a new record by cooking for an impressive 95 hours. Taking to social media, she expressed gratitude to Seagas Ltd for their support and claimed the title of the longest home kitchen cooking marathon in town.

“@seagasltd Yes, we did it! New world record holder for the longest home kitchen cooking marathon in town Shukran for the support,” she wrote.

However, it’s worth noting that Maliha’s new record has not yet been acknowledged by Guinness World Records.

This development comes after Hilda Baci, a renowned celebrity chef, was officially declared the record holder for the longest cooking marathon, surpassing Indian chef Lata Tondon.

Following a thorough examination of the evidence, Guinness World Records confirmed that Hilda Effiong Bassey, widely known as Hilda Baci, achieved the record for the longest cooking marathon (individual) with an impressive time of 93 hours and 11 minutes.

The 26-year-old Nigerian chef commenced her marathon on Thursday, May 11, and tirelessly continued until Monday, May 15, preparing over 100 pots of food during her impressive four-day culinary feat.

Although Hilda initially aimed for a record of 100 hours, approximately seven hours were deducted from her final total due to mistakenly taking extra minutes during one of her rest breaks early on in the attempt.
