Chinedu Ikedieze, a prominent actor in Nollywood, has expressed his deep sorrow over the loss of Ada Ameh, his fellow actress and a maternal figure in his life.

In an interview conducted by Chude Jideonwo, Chinedu revealed the special bond he shared with Ada Ameh, describing her as not only a senior colleague but also a motherly figure to him.

Ada Ameh portrayed the character of Chinedu’s mother, Emuakpo Johnson, in the critically acclaimed comedy series, The Johnsons, prior to her passing.

Chinedu emphasized that Ada Ameh played the role of a mother in his life both on and off the screen, and her demise has left him devastated.

He further disclosed that he frequently met with Ada Ameh outside of their professional engagements, and many people mistakenly assumed she was his biological mother due to their close relationship.

“Ada was like a mother to me, you know!

She took that character off the screen. As in, even outside production. I have met her severally outside, you know, that people will say ‘see your Pikin’. You know that kind of a thing. So it was like losing a part of me. It was really. In fact, that was the least story or information or news I opted to hear.

That’s the biggest shock of our lives. That’s all of us. The Johnsons. It broke us… Forever”.
