Zamfara NURTW Chairman Dismisses Top Officials of State Union

The newly appointed caretaker Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Zamfara State, Mustapha Maigoro Kurya, has taken the step of removing all principal officers of the union within the fourteen local government areas of the state.

This decision was issued immediately after his inauguration, and he instructed security personnel within their respective branches to assume control of the union’s activities until further notice.

The Chairman clarified that the dissolution of the local government executives was prompted by irregularities committed by the former leaders of the union. Maigoro expressed his gratitude to Governor Dauda Lawal for appointing him as the caretaker Chairman, assuring that he intends to involve everyone for the betterment of the Union in the state.

However, he extended an invitation to any disgruntled members of the union in the state, urging them to join hands in raising the Union’s standards.

The NURTW is our own, we will do our best for the welfare of our members across the state in order to achieve the desired goals”, he added.
