US President, Joe Biden, has announced that the United States has successfully intercepted the majority of Iranian drones and missiles that were fired towards Israel.

In response to the attack, Biden revealed plans to convene a meeting of G7 leaders on Sunday to address the situation and discuss further actions.

Expressing condemnation for the attack, Biden stated in a White House statement that Iran had received support from its proxy forces in Yemen, Syria, and Iraq.

Biden commended the deployment of US military aircraft and ballistic missile defence destroyers to the region, which contributed to the effective interception of the incoming drones and missiles.

During a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Biden reassured him of America’s unwavering commitment to Israel’s security. He praised Israel’s exceptional defensive capabilities, emphasizing that the country’s resilience sends a clear message to its adversaries that their threats will not undermine Israel’s security.
