Nigerian actress Blessing Obasi and her husband, Stan Nze, have shared the story of how they discovered they were expecting their first child.

The couple, well-known for their roles in Nollywood, gave their fans a glimpse into their pregnancy journey through a video posted on their YouTube channel.

In the video, Blessing revealed that she learned about her pregnancy two months before her birthday on May 6, 2023. She recounted confiding in a friend at a showroom event, expressing her headache and pain. Her friend suggested taking a pregnancy test, but Blessing initially resisted, fearing disappointment. Eventually, she gave in and took the test, which confirmed her pregnancy. Overwhelmed with joy, she shed tears for hours, having prayed for the blessing of a child.

Meanwhile, Stan, who was out of the country at the time, discovered the news on Blessing’s birthday. Their close friends surprised him with a box of baby gifts, which he found quite unusual. It was only then that Blessing revealed her pregnancy to him.

The couple received an outpouring of love and well-wishes from celebrities such as Omoni Oboli, Destiny Etiko, Juliana Olayode, and Juliet Ibrahim.

Recently, Stan Nze announced the couple’s pregnancy, marking a double celebration as it coincides with their second wedding anniversary. Stan shared a heartfelt video featuring Blessing tenderly touching her baby bump, along with footage of them dressed in traditional attire.

Last year, the couple faced controversy on their anniversary when a video of Stan appearing irritated and angry went viral. Stan admitted that their anniversary wasn’t a joyful occasion, as they were in different moods and had argued without reaching a compromise.
