During a briefing with journalists on Wednesday in Sokoto, Dr Ali Inname, the State Commissioner for Finance, assured Sokoto State Government employees who had not yet received their February salaries that all payments would be made within the next 24 hours.

Additionally, he announced that March salaries would be paid on Thursday. Inname dismissed claims that over ten thousand workers were still awaiting their February salaries, stating that only 1,054 out of 33,320 civil servants in the state were yet to receive their pay. He attributed the delay in the payment of March salaries to bank-related challenges that have since been resolved. The commissioner assured that payments would be made within the next 24 hours.
