Shehu Sani Criticises Spreader of Fake News, Calling Them “Untrustworthy”: UAE Visa Ban

Shehu Sani, a former federal lawmaker representing the Kaduna central senatorial district, has strongly criticised the individual responsible for spreading false information about the United Arab Emirates (UAE) lifting the visa ban on Nigeria.

The UAE had imposed a visa ban on Nigerians two years ago, resulting in the automatic rejection of pending visa applications. However, on Tuesday, a report circulated claiming that the UAE had announced the resumption of visa services for Nigerian citizens. The Nigerian government swiftly refuted these claims.

This incident marks the third occasion that fake news regarding the UAE visa ban has been circulated. Shehu Sani expressed his disappointment, stating, “The person responsible for spreading the fake news about the UAE lifting visa restrictions on Nigeria is not a trustworthy individual. This is the third instance of fake news on this matter. I hope that he or she is not a travel agent.”

The spread of false information regarding the lifting of the UAE visa ban has caused confusion and disappointment among Nigerians who had hoped for a change in the situation. It is crucial for accurate and reliable information to be disseminated to avoid misleading the public on matters of such significance.
