Seun Kuti confronts an individual who made online death threats against him at the airport
Seun Kuti, known for his music, has found himself in the spotlight for reasons other than his musical talent. The most recent incident occurred at Lagos’ Murtala Mohammed International Airport and involved a heated confrontation.
Kuti engaged in a verbal dispute with a man based in America, and the incident quickly escalated. A video capturing the altercation has since gone viral. It is reported that the man had previously made online death threats against Seun Kuti.
However, when confronted face-to-face, he retracted his statements and claimed he was returning to America. Despite this, Seun Kuti remained adamant, insisting that the man should not be allowed to leave the airport due to the earlier threat on his life.
This incident is not an isolated occurrence in Seun Kuti’s recent history. In October, he shared how close he came to losing his career, placing blame on Nigerians for nearly ruining it. He referred to a viral video that depicted an altercation between him and a Nigerian police officer. The incident not only posed a threat to his career but also resulted in his arrest.
