Security Forces Eliminate Numerous Terrorists in Zamfara, Demolish Stronghold, and Save Eight Kidnap Victims

The troops of the Joint Task Force North West Operation HADARIN DAJI (OPHD) have successfully neutralized a large number of terrorists who have been causing havoc in various parts of Zamfara State.

According to a statement released by Lieutenant Suleiman Omale, the Information Officer of Operation HADARIN DAJI, the operation took place on Wednesday in the Bayan Ruwa area of the state. During the operation, the troops engaged in a gun battle with the criminal elements and managed to rescue eight kidnap victims.

The statement highlights the events, stating, “On the 28th of February 2024, OPHD troops conducted a continuous clearance operation at the terrorists’ hideouts in the Bayan Ruwa area, which is believed to be a major crossing point for the terrorists in the state.”

“The troops bravely engaged in a heavy gun battle with the terrorists, forcing them to flee in disarray, leaving behind their captives. As a result, the timely response of the troops led to the safe rescue of eight kidnap victims.”

The gallant troops not only neutralised a significant number of terrorists but also demolished the terrorists’ hideouts, establishing dominance in the area through aggressive and confidence-building patrols.

“All the rescued victims have been handed over to the appropriate authorities for reunification with their families.”
