On Saturday, Cristiano Ronaldo surpassed Lionel Messi in non-penalty goals for club and country, netting in Al-Nassr’s 2-1 victory against Al-Fateh in the Saudi Pro League.

The Portugal captain, with 715 non-penalty goals, moved ahead of Messi by one goal. In the match, Ronaldo opened the scoring in the 17th minute, contributing to Al-Nassr’s four-point gap behind leaders Al-Hilal. Messi, Ronaldo’s arch-rival, currently plays for MLS club Inter Miami.
