Veteran Nollywood actress, Rita Edochie, has issued an online apology for fabricating her abduction a few days ago.

As reported by Vistanaij Media, Rita Edochie had raised concerns among her fans and followers as she finally revealed her freedom from an unidentified threat.

The actress shared an update on her Instagram page, announcing that she had been liberated.

Reflecting on her release, Rita Edochie used the opportunity to educate her followers about the importance of personal safety and being cautious around malicious individuals.

Subsequently, the controversial actor expressed her remorse on Instagram for causing alarm with her claims, clarifying that the post was merely a scripted act.

Addressing the misunderstanding, Rita Edochie tearfully confessed that she was not actually abducted. She sincerely apologised to her fans who were upset by the post, urging them not to take it to heart.
