Nasarawa’s Ex-Deputy Governor Abducted in Kidnapping Incident

The former deputy governor of Nasarawa State, Professor Onje Gye-Wado, was kidnapped from his home in Rinza village, Wamba local government area of the state.

The kidnappers gained access to the compound by breaking through the fence and his wife’s window, and took the professor to an unknown location.

This is not the first time Wado has been targeted by kidnappers; he has survived three attempts in the past, one of which resulted in the death of one of his cousins.

The police have confirmed the abduction and are currently conducting search and rescue operations.

The Commissioner of police, CP Maiyaki Baba, has called on the public to provide any information that could lead to the rescue of the former deputy governor Unknown gunmen abduct former Nasarawa State deputy governor, Professor Onje Gye-Wado, from his home in Wamba LGA. Police conduct search and rescue operations, urging the public to provide information that could lead to his safe return.
