Investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo is commemorating the posthumous birthday of Davido, the renowned singer, and his wife Chioma’s first son, Ifeanyi.

The tragic incident occurred on October 31st, shortly after Ifeanyi’s third birthday, when he drowned. He was immediately taken to Evercare Hospital in Lekki, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

According to reports, Davido and Chioma had left Ifeanyi in the care of his minders while they travelled to Ibadan for a family gathering. The minders were unable to explain how Ifeanyi managed to enter the pool unnoticed and drown.

Today marks a year since Ifeanyi’s passing, and the investigative journalist is acknowledging what would have been his fourth birthday. Kemi took to her Instagram page to reflect on Ifeanyi’s painful demise and highlighted that the estate still denies any responsibility for his drowning. Additionally, she revealed that Ifeanyi’s burial was conducted in secrecy.

David Adeleke’s 4th child Ifeanyi would have been 4 years old today. The child reportedly drowned in a swimming pool at his rented Banana Island home on Halloween October 31, 2022. The estate however still denies till today that no one drowned on any property in their estate. The child was secretly buried in an unknown location”.
