Nigerian music sensation David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, is preparing to initiate legal proceedings against an individual who made false accusations against his wife, Chioma, and former artist Peruzzi.

On Thursday, a Twitter user named Baddy of Lassu fabricated a comment that appeared to be from Peruzzi, wherein the singer accused Davido of ingratitude and claimed to have had an affair with his wife.

Later, the individual issued an apology to both Davido and Peruzzi, admitting that the tweet had been doctored and taking full responsibility for the consequences, assuring that such an incident would not recur.

He said, “I apologise for posting an edited tweet which involves Peruzzi and Davido. I take full responsibility for all my actions and I promise it will never happen again. My apologies to DMW management.”

Peruzzi, however, rejected the apology and implored his followers to retweet his statement to raise funds for legal action, indicating his intention to pursue the matter legally.

Joining the conversation, Davido expressed agreement with Peruzzi’s stance, suggesting that the offender should be incarcerated indefinitely.

He tweeted, “Throw away the keys”.
