Kaduna Community Bomb Attack: Governor Sani Orders Investigation

Following the Nigerian Army’s admission of responsibility for the bombing incident that claimed the lives of over 30 residents in Tudun Biri village, Governor Uba Sani has taken immediate action by ordering an investigation into the tragic event.

In a statement issued by Muhammad Lawal Shehu, Chief Press Secretary to the Kaduna State Governor, Governor Sani expressed shock upon hearing the news of the casualties and injuries. He emphasized the need for a swift investigation to prevent similar incidents in the future.

“I have instructed an immediate investigation into this tragic incident. We are determined to prevent any recurrence and assure our people that their safety will be prioritized in our ongoing fight against terrorists, bandits, and other criminals,” Governor Sani stated.

He also directed the prompt evacuation of the injured victims to the Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital for emergency medical attention. The state government will bear the responsibility for their treatment and related logistical arrangements.

Governor Sani appealed for calm in the affected communities and assured that search-and-rescue operations were underway. He mentioned that top government officials had been dispatched to assess the situation, provide support to the victims’ families, and advise the government on immediate measures to alleviate their suffering.

“The Kaduna State Government deeply regrets the loss of lives and is committed to ensuring that residents can live and carry out their legitimate activities without fear,” concluded the governor.
