Governor Radda Declares Work-Free Day for Eid-El-Fitr Celebration

The Governor of Katsina State, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has announced that Friday, April 12th, 2024, will be a work-free day for Muslims across the state. This decision aims to provide them with an extended opportunity to celebrate the upcoming Eid-El-Fitr Sallah, which is scheduled for tomorrow.

Dr. Bala Salisu Zango, the State’s Commissioner for Information and Culture, released a statement on Tuesday, stating that the governor’s decision aligns with the federal government’s extension of the Eid El-Fitr public holiday to Thursday, April 11th.

The primary objective of this declaration is to ensure that workers in the state can fully engage in and enjoy the festivities of the Eid El-Fitr Sallah with their families. It is a gesture of recognition and support for the significance of this important religious celebration.
