There has been a further deterioration in the relationship between well-known radio personality Dotun Kayode and his ex-wife, Taiwo Oyebanjo, who is also the sister of popular pop star Dapo “DBanj” Oyebanjo. Today, Taiwo Oyebanjo was reportedly found guilty of contempt.

In a divorce petition filed in Abuja, Taiwo Oyebanjo was found guilty of disregarding a court order regarding the shared custody of their children. The High Court in Dukpa, Abuja, ruled that Taiwo Oyebanjo had violated the court’s order.

Previously, in case number GWD/PET/25/21, the court had granted Dotun and his estranged wife joint custody of their children after Dotun applied for it in April 2022. Initially, both parties complied with the court’s decision.

However, contrary to the court’s order, Taiwo Oyebanjo has denied Dotun access to their children since December 2022 without any valid reason. As a result, Dotun sought legal action, leading to a heated exchange between the couple on social media.

In the contempt proceedings against Taiwo Oyebanjo, the court found her guilty of disobeying the court’s order. The court declared that her refusal to allow Dotun Kayode access and custody of the children in December 2022 constituted disobedience to the court’s order. The court ordered Taiwo Oyebanjo to pay a fine of N200,000 within 30 days or face imprisonment until the fine is paid.
