Davido explains why he didn’t pay tribute to Ifeanyi on ‘Timeless’ album

During a press conference held on Monday, popular Nigerian Afrobeats artist, Davido, shed light on his decision not to pay tribute to his late son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, on his newly released album titled ‘Timeless’. Despite fans’ expectations that the album would focus on Davido’s loss, he opted to create a more entertaining project.

The singer clarified that his aim was to create a classic album that did not contain too many emotional songs, in order to avoid causing his followers to become too emotional about the loss of his son.

The ‘Timeless’ concert, which is scheduled for April 23rd in Lagos, is expected to be a major event, and Davido is confident that his fans will thoroughly enjoy the performance.

He said, ”People who have been following songs for years can attest to this. I have always been a happy person, regardless of what I may be going through.

”If sad songs are to come, it will be an entirely different project on its own as I never had plans of combining them.”
