Davido, the acclaimed Afrobeat superstar singer, has faced criticism from a commentator regarding his initial interview discussing the birth of his twins.

Reports circulated on Tuesday about the singer and his wife, Chioma, welcoming twins—a boy and a girl.

While the couple did not officially confirm the news, Davido stirred speculation when he alluded to his wife becoming ‘Mama Ibeji’ (mother of twins) in his song titled ‘In The Garden’, featuring Morravey.

Last week on Sunday, the singer also tweeted that the upcoming week would be the best of his life.

The confirmation finally arrived with the emergence of an online video showing Davido and Chioma leaving the hospital with their twins.

During an interview, the music star made his first statement about the birth of his twins, revealing how he and Chioma discovered the news, which left them astounded.

He described the experience as incredible, noting the synchronicity of his twins being born in the same month as his late son, Ifeanyi.

However, a critic took issue with Davido for publicly discussing his family matters. The commentator pointed out how Davido had resumed granting interviews about his family, despite the expectation of privacy, following the incident involving his son, Ifeanyi, last year.

In his defense, numerous individuals highlighted that the singer was solely discussing the arrival of his twins and not intentionally making his family life public.
