Yoruba Nollywood actress Omoborty, also known as Biodun Okeowo, has expressed her concerns regarding the negative aspects of the film industry.

The actress, who is a single mother of two, shared how certain colleagues faced exclusion from movie roles because they refused to compromise their principles when dealing with influential individuals.

She revealed that some of these individuals even experienced the humiliation of having their children sent home from school because they were unable to secure work and pay the school fees.

However, through divine intervention, they managed to overcome these challenges and now have the liberty to decide whether they still want to pursue acting or not.

“Hmmm, shall we discuss the subtle blackl!sting, where certain individuals were excluded from movie roles simply because they refused to compromise their principles with influential figures? Some of us experienced the embarrassment of having our children sent home from school back then because we weren’t being offered work and couldn’t pay school fees.

But by the Grace of God, we’ve overcome those challenges. Now, we have the freedom to choose if we still want to act or not.
Because movie making no longer dictates our livelihood or pays our bills”.

Biodun Okeowo echoed the sentiments of her fellow actress, Nkechi Blessing, regarding the problems within the industry.

Nkechi had voiced her frustration towards certain colleagues who engage in gossip and speak ill of others to movie producers and directors.

The voluptuous actress pointed out how these individuals, driven by personal animosity, deny their colleagues the chance to be cast in movies by spreading negative information about them to industry decision-makers.

Nkechi cautioned them that their actions would eventually catch up with them.

This is not the first time that Biodun Okeowo has shared her negative experiences in the world of Nollywood.
